Legends that Echo Forever
A cinematic retelling of Achilles’s rise and fall—driven by 2WEI’s “The Call” and inspired by Troy. Built with text animation, 3D visuals, and visceral effects, this piece captures the fire of battle, the weight of destiny, and the cost of greatness.
This project is a visual and auditory tribute to the film Troy and the orchestral piece “The Call” by 2WEI. As a longtime admirer of the movie, I set out to reimagine the story of Achilles—a figure driven by glory, passion, and the high cost of greatness.
It’s about more than war. It’s about what it means to face fear, step into the unknown, and fight for something—whether that’s a cause, a purpose, or a personal truth. Achilles’s journey, shaped by destiny and his pursuit of eternal glory, reflects the deeper human struggle to rise when it matters most.
To tell this story, I combined text animation, 3D environments, visual effects, rotoscoping, voiceovers, and cinematic transitions. I used After Effects for animation, Photoshop for rotoscoping, and integrated background footage from Vecteezy. I also pulled from online tutorials to create effects like fiery, blood-drenched typography.
The result is an immersive experience that blends sound, motion, and narrative to capture the emotion, intensity, and legacy of Achilles’s path.
