ICGC Chicago T-Shirt Design
I designed a vibrant, unifying T-shirt for International Central Gospel Church (Peniel Temple, Chicago), blending modern typography with faith-based symbolism to celebrate community and identity. The design features bold, vertical color bars with the church logo reimagined for print, applied across multiple colorways. Worn by congregation members during events and services, the shirt reinforces visual unity and brand presence in both physical and digital spaces.
This T-shirt design was created for the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Peniel Temple in Chicago, as part of a broader effort to strengthen visual identity and foster a sense of unity within the congregation. I designed the artwork using Adobe Photoshop, incorporating the church’s emblem into a bold, contemporary layout that could be easily adapted across multiple shirt colors and sizes.
The concept was inspired by the values of community, faith, and vibrancy—translated through a vertical gradient block layout that evokes growth, strength, and spiritual elevation. Each element was carefully arranged to maintain visual balance and legibility on both light and dark backgrounds. I paid particular attention to print specifications, ensuring the colors remained vibrant and consistent across fabric types.
Beyond its visual appeal, the design was created with functionality and scalability in mind. It was prepared as a high-resolution, print-ready file suitable for both screen printing and digital heat transfer methods. The final T-shirts were distributed to members of the church and worn during community gatherings, services, and outreach events—creating a cohesive and recognizable look that amplified the church’s presence both in-person and on social media.
This project was a meaningful opportunity to merge graphic design with community impact, and demonstrates my ability to deliver thoughtful, brand-aligned designs for real-world applications.
