Created as a class project focused on logo animation, this piece brings the Phoenix Suns brand to life with dynamic motion and bold energy. As a fan of the team, I chose their logo to explore how animation can enhance identity and emotion. Designed and animated in After Effects, the project focuses on impactful timing, smooth transitions, and a visual rhythm that reflects the team's intensity and style.
This project was part of a motion graphics class assignment focused on logo animation. We were asked to choose a brand and bring its identity to life through motion. As a big Phoenix Suns fan, the choice was easy—I wanted to work with a logo I connect with and push it in a direction that felt energetic and true to the team’s vibe.
I started by breaking down the logo into vector elements in Illustrator, then imported everything into After Effects for animation. The main goal was to create smooth, intentional movement that felt powerful but not overdone. I focused on timing, scale, and rotation to emphasize impact, especially during the logo's reveal. I also used some light effects and motion blur to give it more depth and polish without going over the top.
This project helped me sharpen my skills in working with brand assets, layering motion for emphasis, and making sure every move supports the overall identity. It was also just a fun way to mix design with something I’m genuinely passionate about.
